The Seventh Georgetown (South) Scout Group was officially formed on 13th September 1959 with the registration number M1718.The Founding of the troop was brought about the presence of too many scouts in the school. The headmaster at that time was Mr.Hughes who gave permission for Mr. Ibrahim Noordin , our Founder and first Scoutmaster to form the troop with a mere 28boys. At that time , all the recruits were relatively young ( Form 1's and Form 2's. Fortunately there was one form 4 scout who had just been transferred from B.M High School to PFS . He was promptly made the troop's first Troop Leader.
